Hopefully your pet White’s Tree Frog will live a happy and healthy life without getting sick. If your frog shows any abnormal symptoms, contact a veternarian. When properly cared for, White’s Tree Frogs are generally quite healthy. Diseases most commonly found in White’s Tree Frogs include:
- Redleg
- Intestinal problems – inadvertently ingesting gravel when eating (don’t use gravel in your terrarium!)
- Fungal infections
- Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) from insufficient calcium and vitamin D3
- Stress – can be caused by overhandling, too much noise, and other environmental factors. Give your frog a happy habitat.
